MLIS archiving internship — William C. Cramer, Jr. Papers
University of Tampa
As I submit this ePortfolio, I am near the end of a year-and-a-half-long internship processing a congressional collection under a supervising archivist.
Alongside coursework and training, I have also given time as a volunteer.
Volunteer service
During the MLIS program I volunteered for Find-A-Grave by taking photographs of grave sites. I also transcribed text for From the Page. The bulk of the transcription was for the Civil War and Reconstruction Governors of Mississippi, which focused on post-Civil-War pardons. I also transcribed for the Queen’s University Archives, Wilhelmina Gordon Diaries, and the Library of Virginia, WWII Separation Notices: Army.
