Annette Christy - MLIS ePortfolio

Welcome. I have been faculty in University of South Florida's (USF) Department of Behavioral Health Science & Practice (formely known as the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy) for the past 28 years. I direct the Baker Act Reporting Center and produce annual reports about involuntary treatment for mental health (Baker Act) and substance use disorders (Marchman Act), as well as providing technical assistance. I have taught a class called Movies, Memoirs, and Mental Illness every summer for more than a decade. I also have an extensive history of university and community service. I am drawn to library and information science from these experiences and additional background I describe on this website. I began the Master's in Library and Information Science at USF in Fall 2023.

This website includes artifacts I have chosen to demonstrate program learning outcome. You can also learn more about me through pages with my narrative, resume, information about co-curricular activities, and a list of all courses I completed while in the MLIS program through my completion of the MLIS in Fall 2026.
