Annette Christy - MLIS ePortfolio
Welcome. For the past 28 years, I have worked in USF's Department of Behavioral Health Science & Practice. I direct the Baker Act Reporting Center and produce annual reports about involuntary treatment for mental health (Baker Act) and substance use disorders (Marchman Act), as well as providing technical assistance. That work sits at the intersection of law, data, and public policy, which is what drew me to libraries and archives: the same instinct to organize information so others can find, trust, and use it. This led me to pursue the Master's in Library and Information Science at USF starting in Fall 2023.
This portfolio documents that transition. This includes the artifacts I have chosen to demonstrate each program learning outcome. You can also learn more about me through pages with my narrative, resume, academic vita, information about co-curricular activities, and a list of all courses I completed while in the MLIS program through my completion of the MLIS in Fall 2026.
